This journey has come to an end,but my journey is only beginning. At the beginning of the semester I took this class to satisfy a requirement. I didn’t understand how important marketing would be in understanding so many other concepts related to business. I have grown to love marketing and it’s principles. It has since become a task that I enjoy doing, it doesn’t feel like work. I hope to use the concepts I have learned in my other courses, and in my professional work life as well. I hope you have enjoyed my journey and are encouraged to explore the world of marketing.
I think this course has shaped my personal values. I have learned to enjoy creativity. I have never been fond of design however, this blog as well as my presentations have inspired me to be creative. I have also enjoyed slowing down to grasp concepts. I usually go at everything 100 miles per hour and I think this course has allowed me to slow down and really take in concepts to grasp an understanding.
I also have decided that marketing may be a career I would like to pursue. I think marketing has been appealing to me because it is challenging and takes shape on so many levels. I also like the idea of having so much power in helping a product succeed from design to pricing to developing advertisements. I like challenges and fast paced work and I think this is a career I now want to pursue.
I have also learned a lot about human nature as a whole. I see the importance of prices and the sensitivity they have to families and individuals. I also see that the goal of everything in business is to make money. However, I also see the importance and want of sustainability for companies for themselves and the world. I also respect the pricing regulations so people and companies do not get taken advantage of because I see that as a moral dilemma that all humans deal with.
Marketing is such a broad subject with so much to take in. However, each piece creates a puzzle that is the foundation of product promotion and success. I think marketing helps take products to the next level and helps to promote businesses. Business and marketing is intertwined and one cannot exist without the other. I believe marketing is everything for a product and that is why it is so creative and broad. I hope you have learned throughout my journey and are encouraged to pursue more knowledge in the field.
